Charities

We are extremely proud of our student’s commitment to charity. It is important to us that every one of our students is involved in the care, compassion and understanding of others.

Most of our fundraising ideas come from our students; the Charity Champions are a student focus group who decide which charities we should support and help raise funds. Whilst helping to raise awareness and fund for charities, students can also add this voluntary work to their record of achievement, which helps when applying to college and university.

Charities we Support

Our school is a proud supporter of Blackburn Foodbank, Nightsafe, Age Concern, the ARC Project, YMCA, Maundy Relief, and The Guide Dogs for the Blind Association (UK), amongst others. We also work with the Audley based Al-Imdaad Foundation, with who we have provided water pumps and sewing machines to Sri Lanka, meals for the homeless and low-income families in Blackburn, wheelchairs to local care-homes.

Students and staff also raise money for our Student Enrichment Fund, which helps to aid families and students who may are experiencing difficulties. This has included specialist bereavement counselling, winter coats and shoes.
